Book I Elias  & The Highspeedtrain

(test cover, final cover can be
seen just before final release)

In the first book of the danish railway series we meet a boy named Elias for the very first time. Elias lives in the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen. Elias is 5 years old and lives together with his farther (who is a driver) near the railway where Elias can watch the trains go by. Trains pulled by grand steam locomotives, which can be heard from miles around.

The year is 1935 and one early spring morning Elias is taken by his farther down to the the shed which is not far from where he lives. Here he meets the shunter "Fredrik" and his friends. However as Elias is out with Fredrik on shunting duties something very strange happens to them. A strange red train passes them at a high speed and they have no idea what it is. As they return that evening none of the other engines have any idea what kind of train it is.
But later that evening Elias finds himself together with his farther down at the new "diesel depot" where an old friend has promised to show them around. There Elias finds one of the new red trains he and his friends had seen that day. As he learns the name of the train he's taken through a story which tells him about trial runs, the opening of a bridge and high speed travel…..

All that and more, in Elias  & The Highspeedtrain….

The Danish Railway Series - The series of Peter

In the danish railways series' second series we meet a boy named Peter on a journey through Denmark as he visits various heritage railways museums and learn about their individual history.

The series is made specially for heritage railways and societies by collaborating with them through each book in the series, every book has different things to support. At the same time children can learn about place they've visited or maybe want to visit?

On this section of the page you can see updates on the second series within The Danish Railway Series.

The story of Dagmar

In the The story of Dagmar we meet the boy Peter on a visit at the Limfjord railway in Aalborg. Here he's faced with a talking engine named Dagmar. Dagmar is an old goods engine from the Danish State railways and has a very long story behind her. She tells peter alot about how railways once were and what the diffrence is between the state and private railwas, before moving on to her own story.

The story takes peter back to when Dagmar was built at Hartmann in 1905, before she gets her nickname.

We Follow her through through the first part of the story as "825" an unexperienced engine who doesnt know what or where she is. She slowly learns how to take in the Danish surroundings and throughtout the book gets many friends before she finnally recives a name: "Dagmar"

We then follow her right through her time under the ownership of various railway societies before ending up at Aalborg.

The story is full of illustrations showing how the danish railways looked long ago and how Dagmar has changed throughout her life. The book will hopefully be available at the Limfjord railway as well as Amazon, Createspace and various other sites. It is due to arrive together with "Elias and the high speed train"

Status: Writing is well underway, but has no new release date at present.
